Is summer EVER going to start?
Okay at least today we are in the 50's, but it is so windy. Supposedly we will have 80's this weekend - I will believe that when I see it.
I think my summer longing is enhanced by our trip to see my parents in Florida. We have been home 2 weeks. Down there we were wearing, shots and t-shirts - then we come home to go back into long sleeves, blue jeans and jackets. sigh!
Not sure what else we will do this summer. We might wait until regular school is back in session and go somewhere so we avoid the crowds - another advantage of homeschooling.
We have planted a few things in the garden and will plant more this weekend if it is nice. Saturday we will take Jacob to the 4-H greenhouse as they are giving away some plants for the 4-H kids projects.
We still have the 4-H pigs too and they are getting bigger every day. One thing I did not know about pigs even though we have raised them before is that pigs can get sunburned. Lucky us, one of our pigs seems to have more of an issue with sunburn than the other and of course she is not smart enough to stay in the shaded area of the pen. Silly pig.
