An extra kid
I've had an extra kid this week; my 8 year old niece is staying with us while her mom is on a business trip. (Guess I'm part of her Momtourage!)
It has been nice having her with us, and for the most part she and my son (9) have gotten along well. But each day they seem to bicker and pick at each other a bit more. They are both only kids, so they aren't used to having another kid around 24/7, so I guess that's to be expected.
I've been keeping them pretty busy. In addition to attending 3 birthday pool parties, we've gone to an air show, a baseball game, a picnic at the park, and today we're going to an indoor jungle gym/arcade. I think we'll all need a vacation when she goes home! ;-)
