My mother is coming to visit. I love my Mom. I love her abundant ideas for how I can improve my home, my job, my life. I love them so much that I’ve spent the last few days re-evaluating everything, stressing out and improving as much as I can, in advance, so I can be ah…flawless.

Mom has a bionic eye for dust bunnies and smeared glass, so the main focus today (and more tomorrow when the real cleaning lady comes) is deep cleaning my home. Thank God for Shaklee!

After trying many different eco-friendly green cleaning products over the years, I switched to Shaklee green cleaning products about 6 months ago and will never switch again. It was such a relief to find a line of products that are truly natural, eco-friendly, non-toxic, plus they are easy to buy online and they really clean well.

Friends tried to steer me towards simple homemade cleaning concoctions of vinegar and lemon juice, but I found that they didn’t work well on tough cleaning chores and left a lemony scent. I think clean should smell clean – like nothing. Just fresh air.

Shaklee’s Get Clean Starter Kit includes everything you can possibly need to clean every aspect of your home. Most of the products are highly concentrated, and the kit provides lots of mixing bottles. Retail price for the kit is $170.40 (but just $149.60 is you are a member). Their website states that the Starter Kit is equivalent to $3400 worth of standard cleaning products! I believe it, since in 6 months the only products I’ve had to re-order have been the laundry soap, dishwasher powder and dishwashing liquid.

So I need to cut this short and go back to washing the base boards, vacuuming the lamp shades, and polishing my brass guest bed, so by tomorrow night I’ll be ready. Except this time, Mom and her inspection glove will find my green clean home flawless.

Finally the weather has gotten *cooler* -- we're currently at 84 degrees.  The kiddo had a half day Monday and no school Tuesday because we were up above 100.  I don't remember it getting this hot this early in a couple of years now.

I've got some house cleaning to do -- but the really cleaning kind (move tables, take out the books, ect.).  I want to get it done before the end of this month and the BBQ guests start coming and going.

What can I say -- short of the weather, it's been rather dull around here. LOL

Wow - another month of 2008 has gone come and gone.  Sometimes I wish the days would speed up and sometimes I wish they would slow down.  This is a month I am happily willing to let go.

And so on to June.  June is a semi-easy month.  We're having the kiddo's birthday party early this year -- before school is out -- so more kids can (hopefully) come.  Having an August birthday always leaves him without school friends.  Then at the end of the month school is out. :|  Otherwise, slow, easy month.


I've got a bunch of things I need to do around the house -- including planting flowers.  I've been really slow with this this year. :S  Hopefully the weather will be nice this weekend.  We've had a yard sale the past two weekends, so I really want a nice (weather) and relaxing weekend where I can do some cleaning and sprucing up at a nice, leisurely speed. :)

Yeah, so my titles are going to be stupid and uncreative, but I'm not here to be creative - i have two poetry sites for that. No need to have a third really. That'd be a ton of poems...

Today I must clean. HAVE to clean. I hate cleaning.  Gotta vacuum and dust. My eyes get irritated cause of the dust... My room is a mess, but that can wait for another day, again.

I made it to my goal yesterday - losing two pounds per week. It's gunna get hard I have a feeling. I'm going to have to stop cheating on the calorie counting part. Ok, I'm not cheating, I'm still counting the calories, I'm just not eating correctly. I like special K, so at least breakfast ends up being ok, and lunch generally has to be a sack lunch, so i can do alright on that - it's dinner that's the kicker!

I'm so going to the YMCA today. I'm going. I'm going... I'm hopefully going to get myself to go. Too bad there's no real reason other than the Y for me to be in town, since it's the holiday and all. - no work.

On a last end note. I wonder if I'm bi-polar some days, only my 'episodes' generally stay in my head, and aren't as extreme as some. but I still go happy, sad, content - long time - sad, lonely, happy.... but then again, it could just be normal life... so hard to tell, It's soo mild that I don't really want to take meds for it if there is something. I dislike medication. I didnt like remembering it when I was depressed, and It took me forever to get off those. Well get the doctor to let me off them. daily pills are hard to remember.  Oh as for the bi-polar thing, even though I don't sound bad, probably not, my mother is, and her grandmother was.  so you know that whole gene thing? bad.

Oh well, thats life, I'm starving, going to have hard boild eggs for breakfast and milk.
